Sinopsis
Night Raid adalah organiasi pembunuhan rahasia dari Tentara Revolusioner,yaitu para pemberontak yang berkumpul untuk menggulingkan Perdana Menteri, yang tamak, serakah dan menguasa dengan kediktatoran. Tanpa pemimpin yang kuat dan baik hati, negara itu tenggelam dalam kemiskinan, perselisihan, dan kehancuran. Night Raid berisikan para pembunuh berpengalaman yang bertugas membunuh "anjing-anjing" pemerintahan yang sudah busuk.
Sedang dalam perjalanan menuju kota, Tatsumi, seorang pemuda dari sebuah desa terpencil yang telah memulai perjalanan untuk membuat desa miskinnya menjadi lebih sejahtera dan mencari 2 temannya. Namun setelah sampai di kota ia mulai menyadari bahwa pemerintahan yang sekarang tidaklah baik. Bahkan dikota Tatsumi menemukan bahwa ke 2 temannya telah mati dibunuh. Disini, Tatsumi bertemu dengan Akame, salah satu dari kelompok Night Raid dan Akame mengundang Tatsumi untuk bergabung kedalam kelompok itu.
